3.05.010 Employee handbook.

3.05.020 Employee appreciation.

(1) Policy Purpose. The district established an employee appreciation dinner with Resolution No. 2002-10-8. The board of commissioners recognizes the importance of teamwork and the value of individuals who contribute to the process of maintaining and improving the quality of service in our district and employee appreciation contributes to the morale, efficiency, and productivity of district employees.

(2) Budget. The general manager shall include a budget for employee appreciation to be submitted within the annual operations budget to the board of commissioners for approval.

(3) Appreciation.

(a) The district employee appreciation events or recognition may include but are not limited to the following: awards, catered event, picnic, party, years of service, retirement, district-logoed items, or light training and/or meeting refreshments.

(b) The board of commissioners and/or general manager may determine the type of appreciation that may be appropriate for any given situation.

(c) All employees of the district and the board of commissioners will be invited to attend the appreciation event at the district’s expense.
