OBSTRUCTING STREETS

12.04.010 Unlawful.
It is unlawful for any person to close or place any obstruction to travel in, upon, or across any street, sidewalk or alley or interfere therewith in any manner, shape or form, except that in a commercial use zone, a business adjacent to a sidewalk may use up to 40 percent of said sidewalk for the purpose of temporary displays, seating areas, or ornamental displays. The business use of the sidewalk shall be abutting the business. (Ord. 786 § 1, 1997; Ord. 60 § 1, 1899).
