2.56.010 Appointment – Removal.

The mayor is authorized to appoint and remove in writing any city employee or employees to enforce by issuance of citation any municipal ordinance. In addition, the city council may, by ordinance, authorize certain city employees and/or their assignees to enforce by issuance of citations specific municipal code provisions and ordinances. 2.56.020 Limitation of authority.

The appointee or appointees, as from time to time may be appointed by the mayor, or appointed by ordinances passed by the city council, shall have only the authority contained in the appointment by the mayor or as set forth in the ordinances of the city. (Ord. 871 § 1, 2008: Ord. 407 § 2, 1982)

2.56.030 Termination of appointment.

The appointment of any city employee to enforce by issuance of citation any municipal ordinance pursuant to this chapter shall immediately terminate upon the termination of any employee so appointed from his or her employment with the city. (Ord. 871 § 1, 2008: Ord. 407 § 3, 1982)
