PUBLIC EMPLOYEES’ RETIREMENT SYSTEM

2.84.010 Authorization.
The city authorizes and approves the membership and participation of its eligible employees in the Washington Public Employees’ Retirement System pursuant to RCW 41.40.410, and authorizes the expenditure of the necessary funds to cover its proportionate share for participation in said system. 2.84.020 Evidence of authorization and approval.
The city clerk is directed to transmit a certified copy of the ordinance codified in this chapter to the Retirement Board of the Washington Public Employees’ Retirement System as evidence of such authorization and approval. (Ord. 315 § 2, 1977)
2.84.030 Commencement of participation.
Participation and membership in the Washington Public Employees’ Retirement System shall commence September 1, 1977. (Ord. 315 § 3, 1977)
