9.12.010 Definitions.
The definitions of Chapter 70.77 RCW as now stated or hereinafter amended shall govern the construction of this chapter, when applicable, and are hereby adopted by this reference. A copy of the same shall be kept on file in the office of the City Clerk for public use and inspection. (Ord. 10-898 § 2).
9.12.020 Limitations. (Effective until March 1, 2025)
(a) No person shall use or explode any fireworks within the City of DuPont except between 6:00 p.m. and 11:59 p.m. on the fourth day of July of any year; provided, that the City Council sitting in regular or special session may, by motion, more severely restrict the time limit and place for, or completely ban the use of, fireworks when the City Council finds that conditions warrant a more severe restriction; provided, that this prohibition shall not apply to duly authorized public displays where the same are authorized pursuant to the laws of the State of Washington or the ordinances of the City of DuPont.
(b) No person shall use or explode any fireworks within the City of DuPont upon any public property, including but not limited to public streets, sidewalks, and public parks. (Ord. 10-898 § 2; Ord. 20-1080 § 2 (Exh. A)).
9.12.020 Limitations. (Effective March 1, 2025)
(a) No person shall use, discharge, or explode any fireworks within the City of DuPont at any time or date including, but not limited to, Independence Day and New Year’s Day; provided, that this prohibition shall not apply to duly authorized public displays where the same are authorized pursuant to the laws of the State of Washington or the ordinances of the City of DuPont.
(b) No person shall use or explode any fireworks within the City of DuPont upon any public property, including but not limited to public streets, sidewalks, and public parks. (Ord. 10-898 § 2; Ord. 20-1080 § 2 (Exh. A); Ord. 24-1138 § 2).
9.12.030 Violation--Penalty.
Any violation of any provision, or failure to comply with any of the requirements, of this chapter shall be subject to the terms and conditions of Chapter 1.17 DMC, Enforcement. (Ord. 10-898 § 2).
