EXECUTIVE SECRETARY/ACCOUNTING ASSISTANT

The city council establishes the position of executive secretary/accounting assistant. The mayor appoints the executive secretary/accounting assistant. The executive secretary/accounting assistant reports to and serves under the direction of the mayor. (Ord. 14-11 § 5, 2014)
2.08.020 Qualifications.
The mayor establishes the qualifications for the position of executive secretary/accounting assistant on the basis of ability, training, and experience in the duties that he or she may perform for the city. (Ord. 14-11 § 5, 2014)
2.08.030 Duties.
The executive secretary/accounting assistant may exercise all the powers and duties vested by state statute. The city council directs the mayor to create a job description for this position, keep it on file in the office of the mayor, and post it on the city’s website. The mayor may update the job description as needed. (Ord. 14-11 § 5, 2014)
2.08.040 Salary.
The annual budget adopted by the city council must provide for the salary for the position of executive secretary/accounting assistant. (Ord. 14-11 § 5, 2014)
