EVENTS DEPARTMENT

2.46.020 Creation of department.
2.46.010 Purpose.
The city council desires to create an events department to operate the city’s special events, to promote tourism within the city, and promote the city’s theme. (Ord. 07-14 § 1, 2007)
2.46.020 Creation of department.
The city council creates a new city department to be entitled the events department. (Ord. 07-14 § 2, 2007)
2.46.030 Chain of command.
The events department shall be under the direction of the mayor’s office. (Ord. 09-10 § 3, 2009; Ord. 07-14 § 3, 2007)
2.46.040 Events coordinator.
The city council creates a new position within the events department to be known as the events coordinator. This is an exempt position. The events coordinator shall report to and be supervised by the mayor. (Ord. 09-10 § 3, 2009; Ord. 07-14 § 4, 2007)
2.46.050 Fund.
The city council creates Fund No. 117. This fund is to be known as the events fund. The city may appropriate monies to this fund in its annual budget ordinance. (Ord. 07-14 § 5, 2007)
