LIBRARY ADVISORY BOARD

2.66.010 Created.
There is hereby established the library advisory board. (Ord. 2608 § 2, 2017).
2.66.020 Duties.
The library advisory board shall act in an advisory capacity to the Enumclaw city council on the application of funds from the Richard P. Lafromboise memorial fund for library purposes. The capacity of the library advisory board shall be advisory only. (Ord. 2710 § 1, 2021; Ord. 2608 § 2, 2017).
2.66.030 Members, appointments, term.
The library advisory board shall consist of five members who shall be appointed by the mayor and confirmed by city council. Members of the board shall not receive compensation. Each member shall hold office for a term of five years. A vacancy on an unexpired term shall be filled for the duration of the unexpired term only. At least three members of the library advisory board shall be residents of the city and the remaining two may reside outside the city limits but must reside within the Enumclaw School District, exclusive of the boundaries of the municipality of Black Diamond, formerly known as the Enumclaw Parks and Recreation Service Area (PRSA). In January of each year the board shall elect its president and other officers. (Ord. 2778 3, 2024; Ord. 2608 § 2, 2017).
