SENIOR CENTER ADVISORY BOARD

There is created the senior center executive board consisting of nine members plus two alternate members. (Ord. 561-78 § 1, 1978)
2.84.020 Appointment of members.
The members of this board shall be appointed by the mayor for terms as provided in Section 5.2 of the City Charter. (Ord. 561-78 § 2, 1978)
2.84.030 Duties.
The senior center executive board shall function to advise the senior citizen center director, and his or her staff, to accomplish the best use of that facility including the provision of programs which respond to the needs and desires of Everett’s senior citizens. (Ord. 561-78 § 3, 1978)
2.84.040 Alternate members.
The alternate members of the senior center executive board shall act in the absence of a regular board member according to the procedures developed by the executive board. (Ord. 561-78 § 4, 1978)
2.84.050 Subcommittees.
The senior center executive board may appoint subcommittees and chairpersons thereof as it deems necessary to accomplish its advisory function. (Ord. 561-78 § 5, 1978)
2.84.060 Official name.
As of June 1, 1995, the senior center executive board shall be officially entitled the senior center advisory board. This name change shall not affect its membership, functions or responsibilities as defined in this chapter. (Ord. 2049-95 § 1, 1995)
