8.36.010 Unlawful to abandon.
It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to leave outside of any building or dwelling in a place accessible to children any abandoned, unattended or discarded ice box, refrigerator or any other container of any kind which has an airtight door, or lock which may not be released for opening from the inside of the ice box, refrigerator or container. 8.36.020 Removal of doors or lock devices.
It is unlawful for any person, firm or corporation to leave outside of any building or dwelling in a place accessible to children any abandoned, unattended or discarded ice box, refrigerator or any other container of any kind which has an airtight snap-lock or other device thereon without first removing the said snap-lock or doors from said ice box, refrigerator or container. 8.36.030 Penalty for violations.
Any person violating any of the provisions or failing to comply with any of the mandatory requirements of this chapter shall upon conviction of such violation or failure be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment not to exceed six months, or by both such fine and imprisonment. Each day that such violation continues to exist shall be deemed to be a separate offense. (Ord. 293-74 § 4 (part), 1974; prior code § 6.02.030)
