9.78.010 Minors in unattended vehicle.

It is unlawful for any person having the care and custody, whether temporary or permanent, of minor children under the age of twelve years, to leave such child or children in a parked automobile or motor vehicle of any sort unattended by an adult while such one enters a tavern or other premises where vinous, spirituous or malt liquors are dispensed for consumption on the premises. (Prior code § 6.51.010)

9.78.020 Penalty for violations.

Any person violating any of the provisions or failing to comply with any of the mandatory requirements of this chapter shall upon conviction of such violation or failure be punished by a fine of not more than five hundred dollars or by imprisonment not to exceed six months or by both such fine and imprisonment.
