AGRICULTURAL ZONE (AG)

19.19.040 Size and construction standards.
19.19.010 Purpose.
The purpose of the agricultural zone is to protect critical areas and ground unstable for building and to provide for a golf course within the City. [Ord. 517 § 3, 1997; Ord. 282 § 3, 1983.]
19.19.020 Permitted uses.
The uses permitted within the agricultural zone as a matter of right are as follows:
A. All forms of agricultural pursuits, including but not limited to horticulture, animal husbandry, pasture lands, and related uses.
B. Buildings or structures used in conjunction with agricultural uses.
C. Single-family dwellings.
D. Produce stands for products originating from permitted uses.
E. Golf courses.
F. Accessory structures and uses to primary permitted uses. [Ord. 517 § 4, 1997; Ord. 282 § 3, 1983.]
19.19.030 Conditional uses.
The following conditional uses may be permitted within the agricultural zone by the City Council upon application in accordance with Chapter 19.11 EMC:
A. Services related to the sale of products supporting the permitted uses.
B. Home occupations, as further provided in EMC 19.23.050. [Ord. 517 § 5, 1997; Ord. 282 § 3, 1983.]
19.19.040 Size and construction standards.
The following size and construction standards shall be applicable to uses within the agricultural zone:
A. Minimum Lot Size.
1. Single-family dwelling: one unit per five acres.
2. Other permitted or conditional uses: five acres.
B. Maximum Building Height. The maximum building height in an agricultural zone is 28 feet for residential uses, 35 feet for agricultural uses.
C. Setbacks.
1. Single Dwelling.
a. Front yard: 20 feet.
b. Rear yard: 15 feet.
c. Side yard: five feet.
2. Accessory Building.
a. Front yard: 20 feet.
b. Rear yard: 20 feet.
