CLASSIFICATION OF CITY

The Town of Ferndale pursuant to RCW Title 35A elects and adopts the classification of noncharter code city, and shall hereinafter be referred to as the “City of Ferndale.” (Ord. 532 § 1, 1976)
1.08.020 Powers.
The City of Ferndale as a noncharter code city shall have in accordance with RCW Title 35A the broadest powers of local self-government consistent with the Constitution of the state of Washington, and all grants of municipal power thereby conferred upon the City of Ferndale, whether the grant is in specific terms or in general terms, shall be liberally construed in favor of the City of Ferndale.
