10.16.010 Established.

Regulation crosswalks are established for the use of pedestrians crossing the streets, across the following designated streets and the locations specified:

A.    Alder Street, east side of Third Street.

B.    Alder Street, west side of Second Street.

C.    Ferndale Terrace, west side of Vista Drive.

D.    Main Street, west side of First Street.

E.    Main Street, east side of Second Street.

F.    Main Street, west side of Second Street.

G.    Main Street, east side of Third Street.

H.    Malloy Road, north side of Shuksan Street.

I.    Mt. Baker Avenue, west side of Vista Drive.

J.    Railroad Avenue, south side of Willard Avenue.

K.    School Street, 195 feet north of Shuksan Street.

L.    School Street, north side of Shuksan Street.

M.    School Street, north side of Washington Avenue.

N.    Second Street, south side of Alder Street.

O.    Second Street, north side of Main Street.

P.    Second Street, south side of Main Street.

Q.    Second Street, south side of Vista Drive.

R.    Third Street, north side of Main Street.

S.    Third Street, south side of Washington Avenue.

T.    Vista Drive, north side of Shuksan Street.

U.    Vista Drive, west side of Third Street.

V.    Vista Drive, north of Washington Avenue.

W.    Washington Avenue, 270 feet west of Third Street.

10.16.020 Marking.

The crosswalks designated in this chapter shall be properly marked on the surface of the streets concerned. (Ord. 356 § 2, 1960)

10.16.030 Right-of-way.

Operators of vehicles shall yield right-of-way to pedestrians within marked crosswalks as required in the motor vehicle code rules of the road, in RCW Title 46. (Ord. 356 § 3, 1960)

10.16.040 Violation – Penalty.

Violations of this chapter shall be a misdemeanor and, upon conviction of violation of this chapter, the Court may impose a fine of not more than $100.00, imprisonment for not more than 30 days, or by both such fine and imprisonment. (Ord. 356 § 4, 1960)
