REIMBURSEMENT OF STREET FUND FOR COSTS OF STREET AND SIDEWALK REPAIRS

3.08.010 Street fund repaid by utility responsible for damage.

In the event any street, sidewalk, curbing or driveway in the city of Fircrest is broken or damaged in connection with the installation of a sewer or water pipe line, underground conduit or other installation of any kind by one of the utilities of the city, the actual cost of labor, materials and equipment rental involved in the repair of such break or damage shall be repaid to the street fund by the utility or fund responsible therefor. (Ord. 245 § 1, 1954).

3.08.020 Street fund repaid from connection fees.

Whenever any street, sidewalk, curbing or driveway in the city is broken or damaged in the course of making any sewer or water connection, the actual cost of labor, materials and equipment rental involved in the repair thereof shall be repaid to the street fund out of the connection fee and/or other costs collected from the applicant for the making of such connection. (Ord. 245 § 2, 1954).

3.08.030 Determining cost and repaying fund for removal and replacement of trees and shrubs.

In the event any tree or shrub on a parking strip is removed or replaced at the instance of any utility, the actual cost thereof shall be ascertained by the general superintendent and reported to the chief accountant on the work order. Such cost shall thereupon be charged against the utility or fund responsible and credited to the street fund. (Ord. 245 § 3, 1954).

3.08.040 Chief accountant authorized to transfer funds.

The chief accountant is hereby authorized to make appropriate transfers between funds of the city pursuant to the provisions of this chapter, without the necessity of further council approval. (Ord. 245 § 4, 1954).
