AMBULANCE TRANSPORTATION SERVICES

8.02.010 Authority.
The city of Tacoma, through its fire department, shall provide advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) transportation services as needed on emergency medical calls responded to within the city of Fircrest under the protocols and procedures established by the Tacoma fire department. (Ord. 1678 § 1, 2021; Ord. 1250 § 1, 2000; Ord. 1106 § 1, 1995).
8.02.020 Schedule of charges.
The schedule of charges for advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) transportation services utilized by the city of Tacoma is approved by the city of Fircrest as reasonable charges for services provided within Fircrest as amended from time to time. (Ord. 1678 § 2, 2021; Ord. 1250 § 2, 2000; Ord. 1106 § 1, 1995).
8.02.030 Billing for services.
The city of Tacoma is authorized to directly bill all recipients of advanced life support (ALS) and basic life support (BLS) ambulance transportation services provided by Tacoma within the city of Fircrest. (Ord. 1678 § 3, 2021; Ord. 1250 § 3, 2000; Ord. 1106 § 1, 1995).
8.02.040 Charging against Emergency Medical Services (EMS) levy proceeds.
The collection procedures, accounting procedures and method of charging unpaid resident charges against proceeds derived from the Emergency Medical Services (EMS) levy used by the city of Tacoma for collection of the service charges is authorized to be used within the city of Fircrest; provided, that unpaid city of Fircrest resident charges shall be charged against Fircrest Emergency Medical Services (EMS) levy proceeds that are paid by Fircrest to Tacoma.
