OBSTRUCTIONS IN PUBLIC PLACES

9.62.010 Definition.
“Public place” as used in this chapter means and includes streets, avenues, alleys, places, ways, boulevards, shoulders, sidewalks, drives, parking strips, squares, ditches and drains and any and all other public grounds. (Ord. 904 § 1, 1988).
9.62.020 Warning signs required.
It is unlawful for any person to tear-up, excavate or obstruct any public place in any manner and fail or neglect to keep good and sufficient warning signs by day and red lights of sufficient size and brilliancy to be seen for a distance of 100 feet in every direction from such obstruction, posted in the near vicinity thereof at nighttime. (Ord. 904 § 2, 1988).
9.62.030 Unlawful to obstruct unless authorized.
(a) It is unlawful for any person to build, place, maintain, construct, occupy, throw, leave, cast, tie or put, or cause the same to be done, in any public place any structure, post, fence, chain, rope, rail, wire, box, barrel, keg, fuel, chattels, lumber, merchandise, vehicle, animal or any object or thing which may be an inconvenience to the use of such public place, or obstruct the same without authority so to do.
(b) Obstructing a public place is a misdemeanor. (Ord. 904 § 3, 1988).
