9.24.010 Adoption.

9.24.050 Motor serial number – Purchase, sale or possession when altered.
It is unlawful to buy, sell, receive, dispose of, conceal or have possession of any automobile, airplane, motorcycle, motorboat or other motor-propelled vehicle or any part thereof from which the manufacturer’s serial number or any other distinguishing number or identification mark has been removed, defaced, covered, altered or destroyed for the purpose of concealment or misrepresenting the identity of said motor vehicle. Violation of this section is a misdemeanor. (Ord. 2007-18 § 2).
9.24.070 False weights and measures.
Every person who injures or defrauds another by using, with knowledge that the same is false, a false weight, measure or other apparatus for determining the quantity of any commodity or article of merchandise or by knowingly misrepresenting the quantity thereof bought or sold or who retains in his possession any weight or measure, knowing it to be false, unless it appears beyond a reasonable doubt that it was so retained without intent to use it or permit it to be used or placed in violation of the foregoing provisions of this section, is guilty of a misdemeanor. 9.24.090 Unlawful interference with gas, electric, steam or water appliance or telephone.
Every person who, with intent to injure or defraud:
A. Breaks or defaces the seal of any gas, electric, steam or water meter or pay telephone; or
B. Obstructs, alters, injures or prevents the action of any meter or other instrument used to measure or register the quantity of gas, electricity, steam, water or telephone service, supplied to a consumer thereof; or
C. Makes any connections by means of a wire, pipe, conduit or otherwise with any wire, main or pipe used for the delivery of gas, electricity, steam, water or telephone to a consumer thereof in such manner as to take gas, electricity, steam or water from said wire, main or pipe without its passage through the meter or other instrument provided for registering the amount or quantity consumed; or uses any gas, electricity, steam or water so obtained, or telephone service; or
D. Makes any connection or reconnection with such wire, main or pipe, or turn-on or turn-off, or in any manner interferes with any valve, stopcock or other appliances connected therewith; or
E. Prevents by the erection of any device or construction, or by any other means, free access to any meter or other instrument for registering or measuring the amount of gas, electricity, steam or water consumed, or interferes with, obstructs or prevents, by any means, the reading or inspection of such meter or instrument, by any person, company or corporation owning the same;
is guilty of a misdemeanor. (Ord. 2007-18 § 2).
9.24.100 Injuring property.
It is unlawful to intentionally cut, mar, injure, deface, spoil, break or destroy any fence, sidewalk, house, building, tree, plant or any other property of another, or public property within the city, whether real or personal property; or, without municipal authority, to deface, mutilate, tear down or destroy any lawful signboard or post within the corporate limits of the city.
Injuring property is a misdemeanor if the property is valued at less than $50.00 or a gross misdemeanor if the property injured or destroyed had a value of over $50.00. (Ord. 2007-18 § 2).
9.24.110 Littering.
RCW 70.93.060, Littering prohibited – Penalties, is by this reference hereby adopted. (Ord. 2007-18 § 2).
9.24.140 Making or having burglar tools.
Every person who shall make or mend, or cause to be made or mended, or have in his possession any engine, machine, tool, false key, pick lock, bit nippers or implement adapted, designed or commonly used for the commission of burglary, under circumstances evincing an intent to use or employ or allow the same to be used or employed in the commission of a burglary, or knowing that the same is intended to be so used, is guilty of a gross misdemeanor.
The possession thereof, except by a mechanic, artificer or tradesman at or in his established shop or place of business, open to public view, is prima facie evidence that such possession was had with intent to use or employ or allow the same to be used or employed in the commission of a crime.
