12.04.010 Base of grades established.
A. The top of the stone monument situated at the intersection of the centerline of Main Street with the centerline of Second Street of the city is established as one hundred (100) feet above the base of grades of the city to be the initial bench mark of all levels hereafter run in the city.
B. All grades or bench marks hereafter established in the city, shall be established with reference to the bench mark described in subsection A of this section. (Ord. 74 §§ 1—2, 1895)
12.04.020 Permit required.
A. Prior to beginning any work on any street, highway, or other public right-of-way lying within the city, it shall be necessary that a permit be issued by the superintendent in accordance with the form of permit and conditions thereto attached to the ordinance codified in this chapter, and which by this reference is made a part of this chapter.
B. Any violation of this chapter shall be guilty of an infraction, punishable by an immediate cease work order together and punishable by a fine not to exceed two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per violation nor to exceed a fine of two hundred fifty dollars ($250.00) per day that violations occur. All proceedings for the civil violation will be in accordance with Section 1.20.020 of this code. (Ord. 718 (part), 2006: Ord. 433, 1979)
12.04.030 Regulating structures in city rights-of-way.
All structures erected in any city right-of-way shall have location and type of structure approved by the city. (Ord. 529 § 1, 1987)
