If funds are budgeted for public art or grants for local artists without specifying a project or artist, the parks, recreation, and culture board will solicit proposals, review proposals, and recommend expenditures to the mayor. The mayor will present proposals to the council’s economic development committee. Proposals approved by the economic development committee will be presented to the city council which will decide whether to approve any proposal. (Ord. 3276 § 1 (Exh. A), 2023; Ord. 1017, 1979).
