SUSTAINABILITY

18.12.010 Purpose.
The City has an interest in: (A) encouraging environmental quality, community livability, and economic health in an integrated manner; (B) taking responsible action to address climate change issues; and (C) protecting quality of life for current and future generations. By adopting a sustainability strategy, the City has a road map for future efforts to further this interest. (Ord. 2487 § 1, 2008).
18.12.020 Definitions.
“Sustainability” means an approach that helps take care of the environment, the economy and community livability all at the same time without sacrificing the resources of future generations. (Ord. 2487 § 1, 2008).
18.12.030 Adopted.
The City of Mountlake Terrace Sustainability Strategy set forth in Exhibit A attached to the ordinance codified in this chapter is adopted by reference as though fully set forth. (Ord. 2487 § 1, 2008).
