ELECTRONIC SIGNATURE AND REMOTE AUTHORIZATION POLICY

1.15.020 Authorization and adoption by reference.
1.15.010 Purpose.
The city council finds it to be in the public interest to allow the use of electronic signatures and remote notarization for city business to the fullest extent allowed by state and federal law. An electronic signature and remote notarization may be used with the same force and effect as a signature affixed by hand, subject to the limitations in the policy adopted herein, and state and federal law. (Ord. 1929 § 1, 2021).
1.15.020 Authorization and adoption by reference.
The city council authorizes the city council, mayor, city administrator, city department heads, and their designees to use electronic signatures and remote notarization pursuant to HR-3.042 Electronic Signature and Remote Authorization Policy which is attached to the ordinance codified in this chapter and incorporated by this reference as though fully set forth herein. A copy of said policy shall be made available for review, inspection and copying at the office of the city clerk during normal business hours. (Ord. 1929 § 1, 2021).
1.15.030 Severability.
If any provision of this chapter or its application to any person or circumstance is held invalid, the remainder of the chapter or the application of the provision to other persons or circumstances is not affected. (Ord. 1929 § 1, 2021).
