LIGHTING

18.76.010 Intent.
In residential districts, all lights provided to illuminate any parking area, building, outdoor recreation area, yard or similar area shall be so arranged as to direct light away from any adjoining premises. This shall be done in such a manner as to not allow more than one footcandle of illumination to occur beyond the property line of the property on which the light is erected. (Ord. 660 § 22.01, 1985)
18.76.020 Glare.
Any light used to illuminate a premises shall be so arranged to reflect the light away from nearby residential properties, and away from the vision of passing motorists. (Ord. 660 § 22.02, 1985)
18.76.030 Gas-filled tubes.
Gas-filled light tubes and incandescent bulbs shall be allowed only when used in such a manner that the tubes and bulbs are not exposed to public view. (Ord. 660 § 22.03, 1985)
