8.36.010 - Fishing may be prohibited from hazardous public areas

The city supervisor is empowered to determine and designate those areas, facilities or structures within public rights-of-way or publicly owned property upon or from which fishing shall be prohibited. Any area, facility or structures shall be so designated only upon a finding that, due to its location, height, proximity to public thoroughfares or other like consideration, fishing therefrom constitutes a recognizable hazard to the persons involved or the public in general.

8.36.020 - Prohibited areas shall be posted –Penalty for violation

Upon any area, facility or structure being so designated, the city supervisor, or his designee, shall post the area, facility or structure in a manner to reasonably inform the public that same is off limits for fishing. If so posted, any violation shall be deemed a misdemeanor and punishable as provided in Section 9.52.130 of this code.
