POLICE CIVIL SERVICE*

2.40.010 Established—Governed by state law.
There is established civil service for the police department of the city of Omak, and RCW Chapter 41.12 and all pertinent sections relative thereto are put into effect. The civil service commission is authorized to adopt local rules and in the event of a conflict with RCW 41.12, local rules shall prevail. (Ord. 1375 § 1, 1998: Ord. 425 § 1, 1960).
2.40.020 Meetings.
Regular meetings of the civil service commission of the city of Omak shall be held on the third Thursday of each month at the hour of nine a.m. in the city council chambers, Omak City Hall, Omak, Washington. (Ord. 1092 § 1, 1989).
2.40.030 Position of police chief excluded from civil service.
From and after the effective date of the ordinance codified in this section, the position of police chief in the city of Omak shall be excluded from the provisions of civil service for city police as set forth in RCW 41.12.050, and shall be excluded from the provisions of the Omak civil service rules and regulations as adopted and promulgated by the Omak civil service commission.
