STREET AND BRIDGE DESIGN SPECIFICATIONS

11.04.010 State law adopted.
The Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction adopted by the State of Washington Department of Transportation most recent edition together with all amendments thereto are adopted by reference, except that the term “director of highways” as used in the standards shall be deemed to be the Othello city engineer, and the state of Washington shall be deemed to be the city of Othello. 11.04.020 Copy filed.
A copy of the Standard Specifications for Road and Bridge Construction as adopted will be available on the city of Othello’s website for use and examination by the public. (Ord. 1418 § 1 (part), 2014: Ord. 162 § 2, 1955).
11.04.030 Street paving.
All street construction within public rights-of-way shall be based on the Minimum Street Standards and Typical Street Cross Section, as found in the latest edition of the city’s public works design standards, unless otherwise authorized by the city council in writing after consideration of the city engineer’s recommendations. (Ord. 1418 § 1 (part), 2014: Ord. 162 § 3, 1955).
11.04.040 Approval.
Before any construction within public rights-of-way is started, plans and specifications shall be submitted to the public works director and, if necessary, approved by the city engineer in writing. The city engineer’s approval shall take into consideration all related features such as drainage, prior installation of necessary water and sewer mains and service lines.
