WATER/SEWER CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS FUND

3.20.020 Deposits – Use of funds.
3.20.010 Established.
There is established a water capital improvements fund and a sewer capital improvements fund. The primary purpose of these funds shall be to provide a means by which a separate accounting may be made for receipt and expenditure of funds for, respectively: (a) establishing and refurbishing water and sewer lines and hookups; and (b) planning, reviewing, studying, establishing, and refurbishing any other sewer or water system facilities within the city. 3.20.020 Deposits – Use of funds.
All moneys received from mandatory water hookup fees, and all sums paid as reimbursements to the city for the cost of materials and labor used in establishing and refurbishing water lines and hookups, shall be deposited in the water capital improvements fund, together with such other sums as may be appropriated to the fund. Likewise, all moneys received from mandatory sewer hookup fees, and all sums paid as reimbursements to the city for the cost of materials and labor used in establishing and refurbishing sewer lines and hookups, shall be deposited in the sewer capital improvements fund, together with such other sums as may be appropriated to the fund. The cost of any materials, labor and other expenses paid by the city to establish or refurbish water lines and hookups, or to establish or refurbish sewer lines or hookups, shall be paid from, respectively, the water capital improvements fund, or the sewer capital improvements fund; provided, nothing in this section shall prevent payment of such expenses from any other fund(s) which may be established for the same or similar purposes.
