8.28.010 Height restrictions at intersections.
For the purpose of traffic safety, no structure, object, or growth over 36 inches in height shall be allowed within a right, isosceles triangle, the right angle of which shall be formed at the intersection of the edge of any two public roadways within the city, with the sides thereof extending away from the intersection along the edge of each roadway a distance of 20 feet. The third side of the triangle shall be a straight line connecting the two sides. For the purposes of this section, the term “public roadway” shall mean any road or street within the city that is open for vehicular traffic. Also, the “edge” of the roadway shall mean the approximate edge of the pavement, if the road or street is paved, or, in the case of a gravel or dirt road, the edge of the gravel or bare soil. 8.28.020 Enforcement.
This chapter shall be enforced in the same manner as set forth for weed control in PMC 8.04.020 and 8.04.030, and the city shall have the right whenever a landowner fails to remove an offending obstruction after due notice to charge the landowner and place a lien on the land as set forth in PMC 8.04.030.
