TREASURER’S SURPLUS FUND

3.40.010 Created.
There is created in the city a fund to be known as the treasurer’s surplus fund, hereinafter called the fund. (Ord. 2009 § 1, 1983).
3.40.020 Purpose.
The purpose of the fund is to receive periodic cash contributions from excess or inactive funds on hand in the city treasury not otherwise invested to provide a source for investment in accordance with Ordinance 1913. (Ord. 2009 § 2, 1983).
3.40.030 Payment into fund.
Payment into the fund shall be made by means of transfers from the funds of the city with excess or inactive funds not otherwise invested. Such transfers shall be in an amount which will provide for short-term investments and disposition of earnings in accordance with Ordinance 1913. (Ord. 2009 § 3, 1983).
3.40.040 Payment from fund.
Payment out of the fund shall be made for investments, returning funds to the originating fund, and disposition of earnings. (Ord. 2009 § 4, 1983).
