INDEMNIFICATION OF CITY OFFICIALS AND EMPLOYEES

2.40.010 Indemnification.
The city of Rock Island does hereby indemnify and hold personally harmless all of its elected and appointed officials, employees and agents for any action, claim, or proceeding instituted against said individual arising out of the performance, purported performance, or failure of performance, in good faith of the duties for, or the employment with, the city of Rock Island. The city of Rock Island hereby holds said individuals harmless from any expenses connected with the defense, settlement, or monetary judgments from such actions, claims or proceedings. The purchase of insurance for this purpose for said individuals shall not be considered compensation for them. (Ord. 94-003 § 1).
