WATER SHUT-OFF,
RECONNECTION (TURN-ON) AND WATER STANDBY CHARGES*

13.92.010 Charges established – Effective date.
There are hereby established charges for customer-requested water shut-off, water reconnection, read and leave-on, and water standby provided on and after October 1, 2000, and shall supersede all existing schedules of charges as of said date but shall not negate those charges in place for services received prior to October 1, 2000. 13.92.020 Water system shut-off charges established.
Water shut-off service which involves water service being shut off at customer request shall be charged $22.00. (Ord. 2000-023; Ord. 2000-018; Ord. 2000-010 § 1)
13.92.030 Water reconnection (turn-on) charges established.
Water turn-on charges which involve a customer’s water service being turned on by request shall be $22.00. (Ord. 2000-023; Ord. 2000-018; Ord. 2000-010 § 1)
13.92.040 Water standby charges.
Water standby charges are to cover the continued services even though a building may remain empty and shall be amended annually by rate and fee ordinance of the city council. (Ord. 2014-017 § 1 (Att. A); Ord. 2001-016; Ord. 2000-023; Ord. 2000-018; Ord. 2000-010 § 1)
13.92.050 Nonstandard operating hours.
A 1.5 rate factor will be applied to related charges for service which is provided during nonstandard city public works business hours. Standard public works business hours include service between 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., Monday through Friday, excluding holidays. (Ord. 2000-023; Ord. 2000-018; Ord. 2000-010 § 1)
13.92.060 Water system shut-off – Nonpayment.

13.92.070 Administration authority.
The city exercising authority through the city manager or his/her designee shall have authority under this chapter to adopt procedures and make interpretations necessary for the efficient and equitable administration of this chapter. (Ord. 2000-023; Ord. 2000-018; Ord. 2000-010 § 1)
