This title shall be known and cited as the city of Sequim zoning code, SMC Title 18. This title is adopted under the authority of Chapters 35A.11, 35A.63, and 36.70A RCW. (Ord. 97-019 § 4, Exh. B)
18.01.020 Purpose.
This title is adopted as the official land use control for the city of Sequim, to:
A. Promote the public health, safety and general welfare.
B. Direct the future growth and development of the city, consistent with the goals, purposes, and objectives of the city of Sequim comprehensive plan, adopted December 23, 1996, Ordinance 96-032.
C. Provide the economic, social and aesthetic advantages resulting from the orderly planned use of land and utility resources within the city.
D. Provide definite and precise official land use regulations for the development of public and private property within the city. (Ord. 97-019 § 4, Exh. B)
