2.20.010 Established—Appointment—Duties.

A.    The position of city attorney is established.

B.    The city attorney shall be appointed by and serve at the pleasure of the city council. The city attorney may either be salaried or employed by contract at the discretion of the city council.

C.    The city attorney shall represent the city in all legal matters and litigation except as the city council may direct otherwise. (Ord. 1921-0518 (part), 2018; Ord. 1288 §§ 1, 2, 3, 1990)
