3.30.120 Municipal court trust fund and state miscellaneous fee fund.
3.30.010 Claims.
A. There is hereby created a fund known and designated as the claims fund, into which shall be paid and transferred from the various departments and offices and amount of money equal to the various invoices due various vendors for materials, supplies or services.
B. Whenever it is deemed necessary, the city clerk-treasurer is hereby authorized and empowered to transfer from the funds of the various departments and offices to the claims fund sufficient monies to pay the obligations of the various departments and offices.
C. The claims fund shall be used and payment thereof shall be made only for the purpose of paying approved invoices, materials and supplies to firms, individuals or organizations entitled to such payment.
D. The city clerk-treasurer is hereby authorized, empowered and directed to issue checks on and against said fund for payments authorized by subsection (C) of this section. Said checks shall be issued only after there have been filed with the city clerk-treasurer proper invoices, due bills or vouchers approved by the city council stating the nature of the services rendered, the amount due or owing, and the persons entitled thereto. All checks issued on or against said funds shall be solely and only for the purposes herein set forth and shall be payable only out of and from said fund. (Ord. 1505, 2015; Ord. 1056 §§ 1 – 5, 1981).
3.30.020 Moorage.
There is hereby set up an accumulative reserve fund, in which all proceeds for moorage rents as well as dock rents shall be placed in a dock fund. From time to time certain costs for supplies, electrical costs, and capital expenditures will occur to be paid by checks issued by the city clerk-treasurer from said fund. 3.30.030 Drug trust.
Repealed by Ord. 1456. (Ord. 1316, 2004; Ord. 1190 §§ 1 – 4, 1993; Ord. 1083, 1984).
3.30.040 Equipment.
Repealed by Ord. 1505. (Ord. 1084 §§ 1, 2, 1984).
3.30.050 Community center.
Repealed by Ord. 1417. (Ord. 1101 §§ 1, 2, 1985).
3.30.060 Municipal court.
Repealed by Ord. 1505. (Ord. 1103, 1985).
3.30.070 Petty cash.
A. The clerk-treasurer of the city of South Bend, Washington, will take from the current expense fund $400.00 for the petty cash fund for City Hall.
B. A signed expense statement and/or a receipt will be required in the amount requested.
C. The clerk-treasurer will at all times keep an accurate record of all transactions of the petty cash fund and charge each off to the respective fund as indicated by the receipt.
D. The clerk-treasurer will have sole/final responsibility for this cash; however, the deputy clerk-treasurer may also issue reimbursements from the City Hall petty cash fund.
E. The rate set forth in this section may be changed from time to time by resolution by the city council of the city of South Bend, Washington. (Ord. 1505, 2015; Res. 2003-08, 2003; Ord. 1107 §§ 1 – 4, 1985).
3.30.080 Investigative.
Repealed by Ord. 1505. (Ord. 1110 § 1, 1985).
3.30.090 Drug enforcement and D.A.R.E.
Repealed by Ord. 1505. (Ord. 1156 §§ 1, 2, 3, 1989).
3.30.100 Mosquito control.
The funds for mosquito control will be derived from the increase in water and sewer excise tax and the addition of an excise tax to garbage service. A fund is necessary to control the income and expenditures of mosquito control. This fund will be officially known as mosquito control fund #405. (Ord. 1180, 1992).
3.30.110 Water capital improvement.
Repealed by Ord. 1505. (Ord. 917, 1973).
3.30.120 Municipal court trust fund and state miscellaneous fee fund.
A new fund No. 630, municipal court trust fund, is hereby created for the purpose of accounting for financial transactions within the South Bend municipal court and a new fund No. 634, state miscellaneous fee, is hereby created for the purpose of accounting for financial transactions that are custodial in nature.
