DOG FECES REMOVAL

6.08.010 Allowing deposit prohibited.
No person owning or in charge of any dog shall cause or allow such dog to soil, defile, defecate on any common thoroughfare, sidewalk, passageway, bypath, play area, park, or any place where people congregate or walk, or upon any public property whatsoever, or upon any private property, without the permission of the owner of the property. 6.08.020 Removal of feces deposited.
Any person owning or in charge of any dog which soils, defiles, defecates on any common thoroughfare, sidewalk, passageway, bypath, play area, park, or any place where people congregate or walk, or upon any public property whatsoever, or upon any private property, without the permission of the owner of the property, shall immediately remove all feces deposited by any such dog, in a sanitary manner. 6.08.030 Proper disposal.
The feces removed from the aforementioned designated areas shall be disposed of by the person owning or in charge of any such dog in a sealed, nonabsorbent, leakproof container. (Ord. 1317 § 3, 1985)
6.08.040 Violation – Civil infraction.
Any violation of the provisions of this chapter shall be a Class 2 civil infraction and any person found in violation thereof shall be assessed a monetary penalty in an amount not to exceed $125.00 plus applicable statutory assessments. (Ord. 2541 § 5, 2015: Ord. 1317 § 4, 1985)
