PARKS AND RECREATION FEES AND CHARGES

12.06.010 Purpose.
This chapter sets forth the fees and charges applicable for use of City parks and recreation facilities and participation in programs operated, offered or administered by the Parks and Recreation Division of the City. [Ord. 2192 § 1, 2008.]
12.06.020 Fees and charges.
The fees and charges for the use of City parks and recreational facilities and for participation in Parks and Recreation programs are as set forth in SMC 2.02.020, as such may be amended from time to time pursuant to SMC 2.02.030. [Ord. 2192 § 1, 2008.]
12.06.030 Establishment of fees and charges.
Fees and charges for the use of parks and recreational facilities and participation in Parks and Recreation programs are established by the City Council with the advice and recommendation of the Board of Park and Recreation Commissioners pursuant to Chapter 2.52 SMC. [Ord. 2192 § 1, 2008.]
12.06.040 Waiver of fees and charges.
Upon recommendation of the Board of Parks and Recreation, the City Manager or the City Manager’s designee may waive fees and charges for the use of City parks and recreation facilities and participation in Parks and Recreation programs for nonprofit or governmental entities when he or she determines a waiver of such fees and/or charges is in the best interest of the City of Sunnyside. Such waiver shall not waive any applicable insurance requirements. Such waiver shall be granted only for activities that benefit the community at large and promote the general health, safety or welfare of the City’s residents. Such waiver shall be in writing, a copy of which shall be provided to the City Council at its next regularly scheduled meeting. [Ord. 2011-10 § 1, 2011.]
