15.08.010 National Electric Code and State regulations – Adopted.
The National Electric Code, 1968 Edition, adopted by the National Fire Protection Association at its 1968 meeting held May 20 through 24, 1968, and the rules and regulations for installing electric wires and equipment issued by the Department of Labor and Industries, Division of Safety, of the State, except as specifically amended in this chapter, are adopted as the standard electrical code and rules and regulations for installing electrical wires and equipment in the City, and the provisions and regulations thereof are adopted as the provisions and regulations of the City, and the several sections as numbered therein shall constitute the numbers and may be referred to as the sections of this chapter. 15.08.020 National Electrical Code and State regulations – Copies on file.
Three copies of the National Electrical Code, 1968 Edition, adopted by the National Fire Protection Association at its 1968 meeting held May 20 through 24, 1968, and three copies of the rules and regulations for installing electrical wires and equipment issued by the Department of Labor and Industries, Division of Safety of the State, have been filed for use and examination by the public in the office of the Clerk. 15.08.030 Permit required for installations.
A permit must be secured from the Electrical Inspection Division, Department of Labor and Industries, of the State, for all installations of electrical wiring and equipment in the City, and prior to the commencement of any work incident thereto, and each installation must be approved by the Division before service connections are made by the serving agency. The applicant shall pay such fees as are prescribed by the Electrical Inspection Division and all such fees shall be paid to the State Treasurer. [1956 Code § 4-302.]
15.08.040 Amendments, appendices and additions – Binding on all uses.
All amendments, appendices and additions to the code specifically described and referred to in this chapter, when printed and filed with the City Clerk in a number required by law, shall be considered and accepted as amendments, appendices or additions to the code and shall be binding upon all uses within the City.
