CITY OWNED VEHICLES

1.70.010 Marking of city owned vehicles.
All vehicles owned by the city shall be marked in accordance with RCW 46.08.065, as it now exists or is hereafter amended, except for:
(1) Vehicles that are assigned to the Wenatchee police department and used for any law enforcement purpose;
(2) Vehicles used for confidential public health work;
(3) Vehicles used for public assistance fraud or support investigative purposes;
(4) Vehicles leased or rented by the city on a casual basis for a period of less than 90 days; or
(5) Vehicles granted use of confidential license plates by the Department of Licensing for the purposes outlined in RCW 46.08.066, as now or hereafter amended. (Ord. 2015-05 § 1)
1.70.020 Definitions.
The following terms shall have the following meaning for purposes of this chapter:
(1) “Confidential license plates” shall have the same meaning as defined in RCW 46.04.142, as it now exists or is hereafter amended.
(2) “Department of Licensing” shall have the same meaning as defined in RCW 46.04.162, as it now exists or is hereafter amended.
(3) “Own” shall mean lawful right of possession of a vehicle by reason of obtaining it by purchase, exchange, gift, lease, inheritance or legal action whether or not the vehicle is subject to a security interest.
(4) “Vehicle” shall have the same meaning as defined in RCW 46.04.670, as it now exists or is hereafter amended. (Ord. 2015-05 § 1)
