6.40.020 Identification – Refusal – Penalty.

Any person requested to identify himself to an animal control officer pursuant to an investigation of an animal offense has a duty to identify himself and give his current address and information regarding their animals’ names, breed, etc., as necessary for the animal control officer to complete their investigation. Failure to so identify himself/herself shall constitute a misdemeanor punishable by a fine not to exceed $1,000 or by imprisonment for not more than 90 days or by both such fine and imprisonment.
