DECLARATION OF CANDIDACY

1.12.030 Publication of requirements.
1.12.040 Election to be nonpartisan.
1.12.010 Filing.
Any person desiring to be a candidate for any office of the city shall file with the city clerk, not more than 60 nor less than 45 days prior to the election, a declaration of such candidacy. (Ord. 227 § 1, 1952)
1.12.020 Filing fee.
Such declaration of candidacy shall be accompanied by a filing fee equal to one percent of the annual salary of the office; provided, however, that no filing fee shall be charged in the event that the office sought is without compensation. (Ord. 227 § 2, 1952)
1.12.030 Publication of requirements.
Notice of the requirements of this chapter relative to the filing of such declarations of candidacy shall be given by the city clerk at least 60 days prior to such election by publication of such notice in a legal newspaper having general circulation in the city. (Ord. 227 § 3, 1952)
1.12.040 Election to be nonpartisan.
Election to any office provided for in this chapter shall be on a nonpartisan basis. (Ord. 227 § 4, 1952)
