2.45.010 Establishment of Planning Commission.
There is hereby established a Planning Commission of the Town of Wilkeson to advise the Town Council on land use matters. [Ord. 2005.11 § 2, 2005].
2.45.020 Members, number, tenure, and compensation.
A. The Planning Commission shall consist of five (5) members.
B. The majority and chairperson of the Planning Commission shall be residents of the Town.
C. A member term of office shall be six (6) years, expiring on a rotating basis.
D. Any vacancy occurring, other than through expiration of term, shall be filled for the unexpired term.
E. Members shall be appointed by the Mayor and confirmed by the Town Council. [Ord. 2005.11 § 2, 2005].
2.45.030 Chairperson.
The chairperson shall be elected by majority vote of the members. The chairperson shall be a resident of the Town. [Ord. 2005.11 § 2, 2005].
2.45.040 Organization.
The Planning Commission shall meet monthly at a time and date established by majority vote of its membership. The Planning Commission shall keep a record of its meetings. The Planning Commission shall designate one (1) of its members to act as a secretary which shall provide a record of meetings. [Ord. 2005.11 § 2, 2005].
2.45.050 Duties and responsibilities.
Planning Commission has those duties and responsibilities as set forth in Chapter 35.63 RCW and amendments thereto. [Ord. 2005.11 § 2, 2005].
2.45.060 Duties and responsibilities when positions not filled.
Duties and responsibilities when the positions on the Planning Commission are not filled are to be assumed by the Town Council. [Ord. 2015.12 § 1, 2015].
