YARD WASTE

10.12.030 Mandatory separation of yard waste from trash.
10.12.010 Purpose.
The purpose of this chapter is to delineate the allowable disposal of yard waste within the town. (Ord. 248 § 1(part), 1991)
10.12.020 Definitions.
"Yard waste" means grass clippings, shrubbery and tree or trimmings therefrom, and other organic solid waste resulting from horticulture, gardening, landscaping or other similar uses. (Ord. 248 § 1 (part)), 1991)
10.12.030 Mandatory separation of yard waste from trash.
Residents shall not discard yard waste together with trash and shall make it available for recovery and composting as soon as yard waste collection and composting services are provided, or shall otherwise dispose of such wastes, through composting or otherwise, on their own property. (Ord. 248 § l (part), 1991)
10.12.040 Violation--Penalty.
Any person, firm or corporation violating any of the provisions of this chapter shall, upon conviction thereof, be fined a sum not to exceed one hundred dollars per offense. (Ord. 248 § l (part), 1991)
