TRANSPORTATION CONCURRENCY

16.16.020 General requirements.
16.16.010 Purpose.
The purpose of this chapter is to set forth standards providing for Town compliance with the concurrency requirements of the state Growth Management Act (GMA) and for consistency between the Town and countywide planning policies under GMA. GMA requires that adequate street capacity be provided concurrently with development to handle the increased traffic projected to result from growth and development in the Town and the region. 16.16.020 General requirement.
A proposed use or development must demonstrate that the traffic forecasted to be generated by the use or development will not cause the adopted level-of-service (LOS) standards for Town intersections, as designated in the Town of Woodway Comprehensive Plan, to fall below the Town’s adopted LOS standards. 16.16.030 Exemptions.
A. Construction of a single family dwelling or expansion/renovation of an existing single family dwelling is exempt from this chapter.
B. Projects that are categorically exempt from SEPA review but are otherwise subject to SEPA due to their location within an environmentally critical area are exempt from this chapter. (Ord. 01-412 § 1 (Exh. 1 (part)), 2001)
