ADDITIONAL SALES AND USE TAX FOR CRIMINAL JUSTICE PURPOSES*

3.11.010 Imposition.
An additional sales tax and use tax, as authorized by RCW 82.14.450 and Chapter 24, 2003 Laws, 1st Special Session, and approved by a majority of the persons voting on Proposition 1 in the general election held on November 2, 2004, and by a majority of the persons voting on Proposition 1 in the general election held on November 3, 2009, and by a majority of the persons voting on Proposition 1 in the general election held on November 3, 2015, and by a majority of the persons voting in the general election held on November 3, 2021 is levied beginning in 2023 without end and shall be collected from those persons who are taxable by the state pursuant to chapters 82.08 and 82.12 RCW upon the occurrence of any taxable event with Yakima County.

3.11.100 Effective Date and Termination Date.
This chapter and ordinance shall take effect January 1, 2005, and shall continue without end unless termination of the tax imposed by this chapter is authorized by vote of the people.
