It is a violation of this title for vehicles to stop or stand on County Roads within Yakima County. It is a violation of this title for vehicles to park within County Roads in Yakima County, except the following County Roads:

9.44.020 Parking, Where Allowed.
Where parking is allowed per 9.44.010, no vehicle may park for a duration of more than 24 hours. In addition no parked vehicle may block or restrict the use of the following:
(1) Private or public mailboxes;
(2) Fire hydrants;
(3) Driveways;
(4) Public intersections;
(5) Railroad tracks;
(6) Railroad crossings;
(7) Sidewalks;
(8) Bridges;
(9) Bike paths or lanes;
(10) Fire lanes;
(11) Handicap zones.

9.44.030 Vehicles.
Where parking is allowed per 9.44.010, all vehicles must be legally licensed and in operable condition to park in County Roads. The following vehicles may not park within County Roads in Yakima County:
(1) Recreational vehicles;
(2) Campers;
(3) Motor homes;
(4) Boats;
(5) Trailers;
(6) Construction equipment.

9.44.040 Commercial Vehicles in Residential Zones.
Within residential zoned areas commercial vehicle are prohibited from parking, except during loading and unloading. This will include all vehicles having a manufacturer’s rated carrying capacity of one and one-half (1-1/2) tons or exceeding 21 feet (measured from the outermost edge of the bumper or any appurtenances attached to such vehicle to the outermost bumper or appurtenances attached to the opposite end of such vehicle).

9.44.050 Prohibited Practices.
(1) No person may park a vehicle within a County Road for the principal purpose of:
(a) Displaying the vehicle for sale.
(b) Repairing or servicing the vehicle, except while making repairs necessitated by an emergency for a period not to exceed eight (8) hours.
(c) Displaying advertising from the vehicle.
(d) Selling merchandise from the vehicle.
(2) No person may store or cause to be stored any personal or nonvehicular property within County Roads.

9.44.060 Inoperable Vehicles.
No person may store inoperable vehicles within County Roads.
