DEPOSITING SNOW – SNOW REMOVAL

1. No person shall push, shove or in any way deposit snow or ice onto any public street, alley, sidewalk, public lands dedicated for public use, or upon any private road for which the Town of East Troy is contractually obligated to plow or otherwise maintain.
2. Snow shall remain on the property of the owner unless permission has been granted from the property owner that the snow is put upon.
3. No person in clearing snow from driveways, parking lots, garage entrances or from commercial properties shall pile or distribute snow in the streets or alleys of the Town of East Troy in such a way so as to narrow the traveled portion of the street or alley, limit the vision of motorists, prevent street parking where allowed, or cover or interfere with the use of any fire hydrant. 12.40.020 Enforcement.
The Town of East Troy Police Department is hereby authorized and directed to enforce the provisions of this chapter. The Department of Public Works shall report any suspected violation of this chapter to the Police Department for investigation. (Ord. 2011-10 § 1. 2008 code § 7.10(B))
12.40.030 Continued violation.
Each 24-hour period where a violation occurs shall constitute a separate offense under this chapter for enforcement purposes. Repeated violation or subsequent additional accumulations of snow and/or ice shall not nullify any pending citation issued under this chapter. (Ord. 2011-10 § 1. 2008 code § 7.10(C))
12.40.040 Penalty and special assessment.
Any person convicted of violating this chapter shall be required to forfeit $50.00 for each offense. The Town of East Troy may cause such deposits of snow or ice unlawfully placed under this chapter to be removed and the cost of said removal shall be charged to the property owner violating this chapter under the authority of Wis. Stat. § 66.0703. (Ord. 2011-10 § 1. 2008 code § 7.10(D))
