10.030 Driving in Cemetery Prohibited – Exceptions – Liability – Penalty.

(1) Cemetery. No vehicle for the carriage of goods shall enter Evergreen Cemetery except when necessarily employed therein in the carriage of goods. This provision shall not apply to City employees or officers in the performance of City duties nor to any part of a funeral cortege. The owner of any vehicle entering said cemetery in violation hereof shall be individually liable to fully repair all damages done by such vehicle to the driveways and other property of the cemetery.

(2) Penalty. Any person violating any of the provisions of this section shall be punished by a forfeiture not to exceed $10.00 for the first offense and for the second or each subsequent conviction within one year thereafter by a forfeiture not to exceed $25.00. Any forfeiture imposed for violation of subsection (1) of this section shall be in addition to the liability therein imposed.
