19.090 General Penalty.

In the event that no other specific fine, penalty, forfeiture or punishment is prescribed for the violation of any provision of any ordinance of the City of Manitowoc, or of the Municipal Code of the City of Manitowoc, any person found guilty of violating the same shall be punished by a fine of not more than $500.00. In any such action the fact that a permit was issued shall not constitute a defense, nor shall any error, oversight or dereliction of duty on the part of the Building Inspector, Plumbing Inspector or Electrical Inspector constitute a defense.
