The borough shall be empowered to provide police protection. (Ord. 2015-11 §8 (part), 2015: approved by a vote of the people, October 5, 1965).
2.52.020 Department created--Police chief appointment.
There is hereby created a police department for the Bristol Bay Borough as an agency of said government. The borough manager shall appoint a police chief to serve at the pleasure of the borough manager, and other appropriate department staff. (Ord. 2015-11 §8 (part), 2015: Ord. 78-17 §§2, 3, 1978).
