ASSUMING AND LEAVING OFFICE*

2.24.010 Oath of office.
All elected officials and municipal officers before taking office shall affirm in writing that they will honestly, faithfully and impartially perform their duties. The oath is filed with the city clerk. (Ord. 88-7 §3(part): Ord. 83-12 §3: prior code §2.04.130)
2.24.020 Bond.
The mayor and the finance director shall be bonded separately in the amount of two hundred fifty thousand dollars each. The city council may by resolution or motion require other city employees to be individually bonded. All city employees not individually bonded shall be covered by a blanket bond. 2.24.030 Resignation.
Resignations of officers shall be made in writing and filed with the city clerk, who shall immediately notify the proper officials concerned. (Ord. 88-7 §3(part): prior code §2.04.090)
2.24.040 Delivery of office.
Whenever an officer or employee leaves an office or employment for any reason, he shall forthwith deliver to his successor in the office or to the mayor all property of the city, such as books, working papers, money and effects, which are in his custody, possession or control.
